July Harvest

I made another harvest of greens and peppers. The pepper plants have been really generous so far, and I think I have pulled about 50 peppers off between two of the plants. The third plant has only grown about 5 or 6 inches in height, and it still produced two peppers I can eat. These are grown from seeds I saved from some peppers we ate a while back. Whenever we have vegetables with seeds, I try to produce crops from those seeds. So the seeds from these peppers I have already started planting.

The greens started good, but then weather and pest took out 80 percent of those. I did manage to get two large bunches of greens, though. You can see those in the photos above.

Also, in the photos, you might notice the basil. I planted ten and currently have about seven or eight. I think it's eight. The basil has been growing great here. The only problem is pests. Something loves basil so much that it will destroy an entire bush in a day. This crop I will keep a close eye on because I don't want to lose any more plants.
