Things have been crazy busy on and around Little Farm. Each day I was tending the plants, I told myself, “When you get in the house, post on the website.” Every day I have said this to myself for the past two months. But Whenever I got in the house, something else demanded my attention.…

Peppermania!
Well, I wasn’t expecting the Cayenne pepper plants to get as big as they are or produce as much as they are, but I’m extremely happy with the results. All nine plants have produced over 20 pounds of peppers combined. I should have taken photos of each harvested pound, but I wasn’t thinking about it.…
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I hope everyone has had an excellent start to the New Year. I know that some did not, and it is sad. The greenhouse/ high tunnel is up, the back wall is up, and a portion of the floor is. The side walls and the floor are being done piece by piece because of the…
Wow! I’ve been busy!
Well, here it is, the end of December, and I haven’t put up a Christmas tree. I can’t locate it. We’ve moved so many times; no one knows where it is. But Christmas is still happening, with or without it. Now on to the gardening update. Everything is growing well. There have been a few…
More Harvesting done
The cayenne pepper plants are producing a lot of peppers now. I must say that having them in the rail system is working well for them. The two tomato plants being used as an experiment are growing amazingly. I picked some more of the pickling cucumbers and basil.
Zucchini Harvest
I think I may have taken this one from the vine a little early. It was a precarious position and I didn’t want it to rot. I realize it’s just one, but it still counts.
Cucumber Harvest Continued
I harvested the other cucumber today. It’s bigger than the first one I harvested. I also let this one go a little longer on the vine. In doing so, I had to cut a baby cucumber with it because it was growing off the top. The photo explains it better.
Cucumber Harvest
I harvested one cucumber today! It weighed in at 355g / 0.782641 lbs. The length is about 6in. I think I am going to pickle this one.
Zucchini
Well, we may get an editable zucchini from this latest plant. This was another plant I was unsure about because I handled it. But I placed it next to the Pickle Barrel Hybrid Cucumber plant, which has been doing well. I will admit that it did start with about three zucchinis, but then they all…
Cucumbers
These are Pickle Barrel Hybrid cucumbers from Burpee Seed Company. This is one of ten seeds that germinated. I wasn’t expecting this one to survive because I moved it around so much. I placed it at the end of the temporary hoop house, and it seemed to like that spot. I just fed it every…
