The jalapenos have started producing more peppers. I was worried about them for a little bit. I checked their totes and found that they had too much water in them. We had rain every day in July, and it filled their totes to the brim; their roots couldn't breathe. I emptied out half of the water and balanced out the nutrients, and they popped into action. Between bush #2 and #1, there are about 30 peppers currently. Bush #3 is starting to produce more, it only produced 2 earlier this year. But it has produced 3 large ones already, and it is still half the size of bush #2 and #3.
The basil has been AMAZING! It grows so quickly and fast. So fast that I don't have time to harvest all of it sometimes. I had to take an hour to harvest a lot of the really large leaves.
I have two different kinds, Italian large leaf, and Genovese.
It is a joy to grow basil here because it just grows! It needs very little maintenance. Most of which is getting rid of the caterpillars that come to feast; other than that it's fine.
