Hydroponic Pineapple
Yesterday I harvested the other pineapple I had growing in one of my hydroponic systems.
It is a really good feeling to reap the fruits of your work and effort. I know this reads like a cliche, but it's true. I didn't really know what was going to become of the work I had done, not with just the pineapples, but also with the bell peppers and other vegetables that I seeded and/or planted pre-COVID.
Seedlings started
I have been trying to get more seeds started over the past four months, but life and the world keep changing my plans. But last week I told life and the world that I was starting seeds and that's what happened. Amidst all the rain we have received in the past 3 weeks, I stopped myself from the daily chores to go dig up good planting soil to start seeds.
Here's what I have going. You can click to enlarge the images.
I also have a few other things growing that don't have clean artwork like those about, but here they are in no particular order.
6 - Monte Carlo - Romaine Lettuce
7 - Summer Crisp lettuce
8 - Leaf Lettuce Grazion - Lactuca sativa
9 - OakLeaf Lettuce
10 - Chinese leeks/Garlic Chives
11 - Hybrid Smooth Leaf Spinach
12 - Asian Basil - Cinnamon
13 - Premium greens
All of these are from Johnny Select Seeds. All have been numbered so I can keep track of what's in the tray. I am really looking forward to all of this growth. I haven't constructed my main greenhouse yet, but as soon as we are out of these heavy rains, it's going to be put up quickly!
